Overall, wait times yesterday didn’t really exceed 135 minutes, which is not bad compared to some of the really long wait times we’ve seen at other points of the summer.
Want to see the proof? We’ve got the full list of wait times from Disney World yesterday below! Many rides have seen DECREASING wait times lately, but some are still holding onto wait times that are an hour or MORE. Add in the die-hard Disney fans who are planning trips to see the recently added Halloween decor, and that adds up to a pretty busy August with some high wait times that are still quite high. On top of that, we’ve started to see quite a few international guests in the parks recently, considering it’s easier to travel nowadays than it was in the past few years. We’ve still seen some pretty significant crowds in the parks at times. However, there are still some areas of the country where school may not start until after Labor Day, and those families may still be taking advantage of the remaining holiday break. Here in the U.S., many children have already started the 2022-2023 school year, which effectively ends the family summer vacation season. And in fact, we have seen wait times going DOWN at a lot of Disney World rides, but it doesn’t mean that the crowds are totally gone just yet. As we near the end of August, you might expect the crowds to start decreasing since so many kids are back in school. Throughout the year, we see short bursts in attendance for the holiday season, Spring Break, long weekends, and special events, but sometimes there’s nothing quite like the crowds that fill the parks during the period from around late May to September.
It’s no secret that (generally) one of the busiest long-term stretches of the year in Disney World is the summer.
